About Me
As a therapist, my passion is to create a positive, non-judgmental space where individuals feel supported throughout their personal journey. My experience began in the hospital community, where I worked with diverse patients facing both physical and mental health challenges. Listening to their stories inspired my path into therapy.
In my work, I’ve seen firsthand how debilitating and incredibly taxing it can be for individuals to manage chronic physical pain, and the profound toll it takes on their mental health. The emotional exhaustion, anxiety, and depression that often accompany physical illness can feel overwhelming. I also recognize how this can affect loved ones who are witnessing the journey or are involved as caregivers. I’m deeply committed to helping my clients navigate this complex relationship between body and mind, recognizing the immense strength it takes to cope with both at once.
As a South Asian therapist, I also recognize the crucial role that culture and identity play in shaping our mental health experiences. Our cultural background can deeply influence how we understand and cope with emotional distress, trauma, and mental health challenges. In my practice, I integrate a culturally sensitive approach, acknowledging the unique intersection of race, ethnicity, and identity in the therapeutic process.
